Abies lowiana
San Pedro Martir, Baja California, Mexico
Notice the very compact look to these trees compared to the Sierra trees.
The needles are short and thick. They almost look like Abies magnifica needles.
One other difference is that the cones are a little smaller and not as symmetrical as the ones in the Sierra.

San Jacinto, California
Showing the short needles, similar to the San Pedro Martir trees, but not as thick. Also the trees did not have such a compact look like the San Pedro Martir trees. They look intermediate between the Sierra and the San Pedro Martir trees.
