This small grove along highway 1, at Wages Creek consists of only 4 large trees and some smaller ones. It is the northern most of a
series of groves of this species in Mendocino County. The other groves are all south of Fort Bragg. These groves are separated from the main distribution near the Oregon border by about 100 miles.
